Where Do They Stand? Ranking Parties Ahead of Election
Ahead of the coming general election, the Greenwatch team hopes that the climate crisis will be seen by political parties and voters alike with the urgency that it deserves. To serve as a guide on where the parties stand, we have prepared our own Climate Scorecard which tracks the ambition each party shows in their manifestos and campaigns to tackle climate change in a just and equitable manner. We hope that the scorecard can benefit the parties too as a useful framework to ensure that policies address the many dimensions of climate change.
Research Methodology
Greenwatch is a nonpartisan campaign. Our scoring is meant to reflect our assessment of each party’s policies based on our climate justice indicators, which draws upon and applies the recommendations of the IPCC and other established international organisations to Singapore’s context.
